Away from the figures announced last week from the Office of National Statistics and the political debate about growth in GDP and in the manufacturing sector, what does it really feel like on the ground?
Oneflow has been working in the manufacturing sector for the last 5 years, experiencing the recession first hand as it saw its clients adjust to the changing economic environment. But what does it see now as growth appears to be on the up? John Baldwin, oneflow Managing Director reflects.
"In the last year, the consultancy side of our business has seen Oneflow take on new clients with our existing ones continuing to work with us on new projects. They appear to have weathered the storm and are now looking for our help to improve their efficiencies ready to take on more demand. On the manufacturing side of our business we are also seeing growth and a positive outlook. In the last month alone have talked to a dozen or more potential customers. The common theme is they are expanding and developing new products. They are looking to us to outsource their manufacturing so they can focus on product development, innovation and sales.. All in all the sector seems buoyant and we aim to take advantage of it, driving both growth in Oneflow and helping our customers do likewise".
